1950s 。This is a very elegant hat from famous milliner Mr. John. The shape is round and flat at the top and is made of black velour on the sides of the crown and top of the short brim, and blue satin on top of the crown and under the brim. The brim ends in a pointy at the back. There are long black feathers emerging from the front center and projecting sideways. There is an elastic band attached tom the inside of the hat to help keep it in place. Label: MR. His work adorned the cover of Vogue in 1943, 1944, 1946 and 1953 and his hats were worn by Hollywood stars & other powerful women. Over the course of his career, the milliner dressed the heads of celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich, Joan Crawford, Greta Garbo, Lauren Bacall, Gloria Vanderbilt & Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
