Purple Wool Felt Fedora Hat With Feather Trim – Luxury Divas。What a beautiful Steele blue felt fedora from the fashionable 1940s\'! The crown is tall and molded so it creates a \"volcano\' shape at the top. There is a purple draped fabric band around the crown tied at one side by a felt band. The brim is wide and features a row of topstitching in the middle. It is turned down to partially cover one eye at one stride and turned up at the other. There is a coordinating color curved feather emerging from one side and projecting sideways at the front. The feather ends in a \"V\" shape. Stunning! The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials. Explosions of feathers, veiling & artificial flowers were popular. There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation. Please keep in mind that you are buying a vintage hat, not new nor perfect! This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years.
