Vintage Silver Chain Belt With Medallions, 1960s Mod Slinky 。Buying vintage jewelry reduces waste, protects the planet, and celebrates the artistry of those who came before us. Length: 32-40 inches ?️ A Statement Piece from the Modernist Era This striking vintage belt by Celebrity N.Y. captures the bold artistic spirit of the late 1960s and early 1970s, a period when fashion embraced geometric forms, architectural influences, and innovative metalwork. Rather than relying on traditional floral or Victorian motifs, designers of the era looked toward modern art and contemporary sculpture for inspiration. The result is a wearable work of art that reflects the excitement of the Space Age and Mid-Century Modern design movements. ? Distinctive Brutalist Design The belt features a series of openwork square panels connected by twisted rope-style chains. Each panel displays an abstract grid pattern accented with textured organic elements, creating a fascinating contrast between structure and spontaneity. This design strongly echoes the Brutalist jewelry movement, which gained popularity during the 1960s and early 1970s. Brutalist pieces celebrated rugged textures, asymmetry, and handcrafted artistry rather than traditional notions of refinement.
